Appointment Calendar App for a Family Restaurant

Challenge

Booking a table in a best restaurant seems to be a chaos. Hosting lunch, dinners, parties and date becomes prestigious, when it comes to preparing and maintaining the guest lists is a headache and giving invitations and reminders is a disaster. 

Solution

Book Table is an ‘Appointment Calendar App‘ to help people to book a table in a restaurant with loads of interesting features that can become cherry on top

Research Summary

I have used 2 types of user research to start the project research

Primary research (Interviews) Secondary research (On the Internet)

The data I have collected by using this research is ‘Qualitative Research’ because I want to observe body language and tone of the user while speaking of specific problem he/she is facing to get the pain points and insights to solve the problem

I was assuming that restaurants are only for eating food and throwing parties but after conducting the research I observed that there is a lot room to enhance the restaurant experience.

Hate waiting for Table

Because of the unorganized sector, every restaurant has its own management. Traditionally they serve first come first serve basis and then we need to wait for the table

No Entertainment

When we order food, there is no way to do anything except talking and scrolling on phone which could be boring specially when you are waiting for food

No Verified Restaurant Images

Many apps don’t verify the images of the restaurant. Especially washroom etc. because of this also the hosts sometimes have to face the embracement

Waiters do not give much attention

Because of traditional service, waiters need to attend to all or some of the tables and hence the host feels upset that the restaurant is ignoring us.

This User Journey Map is the story of the experience when a user achieves a specific goal. It helped me to create obstacle-free path for users, reduces the impact of designer-bias, highlight new pain points and identify a improvement opportunities
